Karla Schuck Saraiva

Karla Saraiva received her bachelor's and her masters degree in Civil Engineering from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), and she received her doctoral degree in Education from that same university. She is currentely a faculty member in the Doctor of Education and Cultural Studies program at the Lutheran University of Brazil (ULBRA), where she is a member of the research group ?Curriculum, Science and Technologies?. Based on a post-structuralist perspective, she develops studies focused on the articulation between education and contemporary society. Her main research interests are related to cyberculture and curriculum.

    Iara Tatiana Bonin is a faculty member in the Doctor of Education and Cultural Studies program at the Lutheran University of Brazil (ULBRA). She is Master in Education from the University of Brasília, Brazil (1999), Ph.D. in Education from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Brazil (2007). Her current main research interests focus on Cultural Studies, Politics of difference, and education in intercultural contexts. Has especially published academic articles that discuss children's literature, and representations about indigenous peoples produced in the media.

She was the Coordinator for the Postgraduate Programme in Education by the Lutheran University of Brazil (2009 to 2010), and, she is currently a staff member and teacher of the Post-Graduation Council of said Programme. She integrated the Ethics in the Research of Human Beings Committee of the Lutheran University of Brazil (2007 to 2011). She is experienced in the field of Education, with emphasis on Cultural Studies in Education, mainly acting in the fields of Education, Cultural Studies; Education in Science and Biology.

    Edgar Roberto Kirchof is a faculty member in the Doctor of Education and Cultural Studies program at the Lutheran University of Brazil (ULBRA). He is Master in Communication Sciences from the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos, Brazil (1997), Ph.D. in Linguistics and Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (2001). He completed his postdoctoral studies in semiotics at the Kassel University, Germany in 2006. His current main research interests focus on Semiotics, Cultural Studies and Digital Literature for Children. Among his main publications are the books Novos horizontes para a teoria da literatura e das mídias: concretismo, ciberliteratura e intermidialidade [New horizons for the theory of literature and the media: concrete poetry, ciberliterature and intermediality] (2013) and Estética e biossemiótica [Aesthetics and biosemiotics] (2008).
